Sanj Rathi has been a Partner at AirBlox since its founding in 2020. He is responsible for developing Airblox’s strategy, partnerships, and data analytical capabilities.
Sanj brings over 30 years of experience in the data analytics, supply chain, and air cargo segments. He has successfully founded and exited multiple companies during his career. As a co-founder of Maestro International Cargo (MIC), he helped create the premier ground handler in Chicago. MIC, was acquired in 2021 by AGI and is now a part of the largest ground handler in the United States.
Prior to founding MIC, Sanj was a Managing Director at Alvarez & Marsal where he led the North American Healthcare supply chain practice. He has been a senior advisor to health systems, private equity firms, and other members of the healthcare ecosystem, advising them on their strategy, operations, and financial positioning.
Sanj holds a BA in Economics and an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the University of Chicago. He is an avid traveler having been to over 100 countries.
Sanj’s along with his long-time partner Edip Pektas, realized that many of their clients at MIC were facing significant issues with the supply and demand equation of block space agreements. Their backgrounds in supply chain and finance enabled them to identify a disruptive platform that provides the needed visibility to optimally manage block space agreements as a financial portfolio.
